More than 1 billion people globally are living without access to power
British charity ShelterBox provide emergency relief worldwide to those made homeless by natural disasters. 85 million people are made homeless by natural disaster and conflict. They are shining a light on the effect that living in darkness can have on those living in temporary shelter such as an increase in violence – particularly gender based according to the Refugee Rights Data Project.
