London's best Christmas markets

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas (markets). That's right, it's almost time for the capital's seasonal markets, pop-ups and art fairs to provide us with shopping, scrumptious food and the chance to enjoy an endless supply of mulled wine.

Whether you're a family of four looking for a festive tree lighting ceremony or on the hunt for a new hangout spot, here's a rundown of the most festive markets this season.

E17 Designers Christmas Market
Walthamstow will become a veritable hub of creativity with artists, designers and craftsmen coming together for two days of seasonal shopping. The Swedish Church Christmas Fair

If the Swedish knick-knacks aren’t enough to entice you, there'll also be a pop-up café selling traditional Swedish sandwiches with meatballs and cheese in the church hall. Oh, and make sure you don't forget to grab yourself a cup of glögg.

Massive Arts Christmas Fayre
For one day only, independent artists and designers are taking over the Ritzy in Brixton. Pick up Christmas gifts in the form of creative t-shirts, jewellery, paintings and more, with food and festive tunes at your fingertips. Home Alone will also be featured on a screen in the background, to distract the kids while you shop.

London Bridge City Christmas Market
This annual treat is back with 68 independent traders in a chalet-style venue. With a spot-on view of Tower of London and Tower Bridge, you can peruse what delicious morsels fill the pop-up food stalls and have a cosy shopper’s afternoon with a Christmas cocktail in hand.

Southbank Centre Christmas Market
Southbank Centre is going all out this season with a Finnish Rooftop Sauna, booming Nordic music and a huge New Year’s Eve Party. Pop by for seasonal goodies, street food from around the world and hot drinks.
