Selfridges release new Lady Garden tops for Gynaecological Cancer Research

Lady Garden. Foof. Vajay. Whichever word you choose to call your private area, it deserves your attention.

Selfridges has once again partnered with the Lady Garden Campaign to release a new range of tops in a bid to raise awareness and money for Gynaecological Cancer Research.

On Thursday 5 October, the luxury department store hosted a private launch event and revealed four limited-edition tops up for grabs, with individual designs by supermodel Naomi Campbell, Suki Waterhouse, the Delevigne sisters and Charlotte Tillbury. Last year's designs sold out in a matter of weeks.

Speaking about the initiative, a representative from Halpern PR said: "We try to work with people who are connected to the cause in some way; those who have had cancer or have a family member who has been affected by it. Founding member of the Lady Garden campaign, Mika Simmons, lost her mum to cancer when she was in her mid-20s.

"We also have a gala in November, and a charity run in Hyde Park in March every year. Cara, Poppy and Chloe Delevigne took part last year."

Guests were treated to bubbly, beetroot chocolate treats from HEMSLEY + HEMSLEY and entertainment by celebrity DJ Amber Le Bon. Former Spice Girl Mel C popped by to show her support for the cause. Those invited also had first dibs on shopping the range and it seemed as if each guest had their own personal favourite.

"I chose Naomi's design," said event attendee Cleo Hector, who works in marketing. "It's got an actual fro fro on it and I'm all about genitalia. We all have one and it's heinous that people don't get tested."

Another guest, communications Director Zoe Shaw, chose the design by Suki Waterhouse and tells us about a friend of hers who recently had a cancer scare.

"It's probably one of the fewer cancers that you hear about in the media. You realise that it's happening a lot. No one knows about it until people start talking about it," added Shaw.

The limited-edition designs cost £28 each and will be available in-store and online until they're sold out.
