Rising stars from the indie, jazz and rock scene took to the stage on Sunday for Jenova Festival, the biggest Chinese student music event in the UK.
Hundreds of fans turned out to watch indie pop outfit Mons Boulevard, jazz-rockers Potluck and soulful duo Waiting No More at King’s Cross venue Scala. Also taking to the stage were heavy metal band Sindzm and British-born Chinese band Beat Nations. Closing the festival were self-proclaimed ‘electro-rock assault squad’ Dronningen.
Now in its fourth year, Jenova was set up by a group of London-based Chinese international students, keen to showcase talent among the growing community of Chinese students in the UK and bring some ‘rock and roll fun to the cold London winter’.
